HERo is dedicated to the connection and promotion of women in music through education. The HERo Women’s Conference at Florida State University is the manifestation of this passion. All people are welcome to attend and come together to celebrate work by all women in music. This is an interdisciplinary event with guests from many different areas of focus, such as musicologists, theorists, performers, composers, conductors, leaders and much more. Our hope is that all attendees will learn from, interact, and connect with each other to support the work of women in music.
